  • Heather Morgan Shoemaker is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Language I/O. Over a decade ago, she set out to solve a very specific problem: how to make multilingual customer support effortless for global companies. Together with her ever-growing team, she has built an AI-driven translation platform that allows enterprises to operate a single, monolingual call center while supporting customers in over 100 languages. In other words, she’s been working at the intersection of AI and human connection for a long time. The power in Language IO is greater than just translation—it’s how the company’s custom model handles repetitive, mechanical tasks so that human agents can focus on what truly matters: empathy, problem-solving, and building trust with customers. While legitimate fears surround recent AI developments, Language IO has focused on building a zero-data-retention platform that allows their customers to humanize customer support through AI, without fear. Along the way, Heather has been fortunate enough to be able to share what she’s learned at events like SXSW, and to contribute to conversations in outlets such as Fortune and Forbes. She was also honored to be recognized among the top 100 Women in AI during New York Tech Week this year. Heather lives with her husband and two daughters in Cheyenne, Wyoming and in her free time she enjoys running and hiking in the country's least populated state.
